For more than 55 years Camp Massad, Western Canada’s only Hebrew-immersion summer camp, has been strengthening Jewish identity by providing children with an unforgettable Jewish summer camping experience. To bring this experience to life requires a dynamic, spirited Program Director who can assist in the overall management of the camp and oversee the design and implementation of exciting and enriching programming, delivered entirely in Hebrew.
We are looking for an inspiring leader with a strong desire to work outdoors with children and experience in administrative roles at Camp Massad (or a similar institution) who can:
· Demonstrate proficiency in Hebrew, written and oral
· Manage and coach the camp staff team in the planning, delivery and evaluation of safe, fun, age-appropriate daytime and evening programming
· Deliver a memorable program to campers, in accordance with the goals set out by the Board of Directors and guidelines set forth by the Manitoba Camping Association
· Assist in the management and care of the physical facilities
The position of Program Director requires that you:
· Be available for full time, July through August, residing at the campsite
· Take part in Camp Massad Board and Committee meetings January through June
· Have current certification in First Aid and CPR

Reporting to the Board of Directors, Camp Massad’s Executive Director is responsible for providing strong leadership; demonstrating a commitment to the camp’s values and philosophy; fostering a warm and nurturing environment for campers and staff; and for growing the enterprise.
The Executive Director manages the camp offices in Winnipeg and Winnipeg Beach and is ultimately responsible for: camper and staff safety; financial and business management; site maintenance; marketing; and all other management functions.Consideration will be given to applicants with experience in the areas of: fundraising, marketing and communication, researchingand submitting grants, managing budgets and finances, and youth or recreation management. Important assets are: strong communication skills, a reasonable degree of fluency in Hebrew, an ability to work well with children and teenagers, and computer proficiency.
September to June: part-time - with potential for full-time in the future
July and August at Winnipeg Beach campsite: full-time
Salary commensurate with qualifications and experience.
